Foodbank Bushfire Appeal

UPDATE: In light of the devastating bushfire crisis and the increasing demand for assistance, we have extended our food donation drive to help those who need it most.  Foodbank is helping feed those that are homeless or displaced during the bushfire crisis.

Ideal items to donate are good quality tinned food (with ring pulls), UHT milk, items that are easy to just ‘grab and go’ like muesli bars, cereals, biscuits and pantry staples. Remember, we can only collect non-perishable food items.

Alternatively, you can also make a monetary donation directly to Foodbank at foodbankqueenslanddonate.org/donate.

You can find our collection box outside Woolworths. Thank you for your support ❤️

For the eleventh year running, Retail First has teamed up with All Purpose Transport to raise 40 tonnes of food donations, and to assist with Foodbank Queensland’s increased demand for food assistance over the Christmas season.

that a quarter of families living in disadvantaged areas do not have enough food to feed their families?

Every month in Queensland nearly 200,000 people rely on food relief from Foodbank Queensland, with over 12,000 being turned away.  It is not only people living on the streets, but people living in your street.  The problem has been amplified in the last twelve months with rural families doing it tougher than ever and struggling to make ends meet.

From now until Christmas, a donation box will be outside Woolworths. By simply donating  a couple of cans, a bag of pasta or a box of cereal – any non-perishable food item, you will be helping a family in need this Christmas.

A little bit goes a long way for those families in need!

All Purpose Transport will regularly collect and deliver these donations, and Foodbank will distribute them to more than 300 charity and welfare organisations in Queensland to provide to those who need it the most.

2019 GOAL: 40 tonne – the amount of food that Foodbank distributes daily.
